Creative Workshops for a Music Festival

In summer 2019 M.Y.O was asked to bring some creativity to the Standon Calling music festival, so we obliged!

November 20, 2019

We were very happy to be invited to host creative sessions at this years Standon Calling festival in the wellbeing area, where Rag n' Bone Man, Lewis Capaldi and tonnes more were playing. We sorted the tents, sleeping bags, packed up and ran 3 different creative sessions for 1.5 hours each day:

Creative hand lettering

Lino printing tote bags

Jazz your denim!

Each creative activity had a broad theme of 'Twisted Creatures', but guests were free to explore their imagination too. Each session was 1.5 hours and for up to 15 people. It was an opportunity for guests at the festival to take a breather, relax and chat to people, while making and doing something different. They all left with a nice reminder of the festival too, along with some new skills. A selection of the makes is above, we really enjoyed it. Thanks for having us Standon Calling, hope to be there next year!

Feedback from the organiser

Thank you so much for being a part of the wellbeing area this year! We absolutely loved having you there and so did everyone who participated in your workshops. No negative feedback, everyone loved them and I wish we had you for more sessions.

Would you like to bring some creativity to a music festival or wellbeing area at an event you are organising?

Drop an e-mail to Hello@MYO.Place and let's chat! We've brought some creativity to whiskey tastings with Diageo owned Roe & Co, helped cocktail makers at the Beefeater Gin World Cocktail to design t-shirts, helped all the support staff The Brit School get creative, hosted influencers at a River Island pre-Christmas event, done creative things at the St. Katharine Docks Classic Boat Festival, tote bag design at UCL freshers week and tonnes more.
