Creative Hen Party at M.Y.O

August 16, 2019

Here’s a little blog on what’s involved, what’s included, some photos and some recent feedback, to give you a sense of what we’re about and why more and more people are choosing to have a creative hen party to make a momentous day even more memorable!

Have you done many unique hen parties like this?

We love hosting creative hen parties at the studio and have now hosted 100s of them.

When are you open?

We have availability 7 days a week from 9am to 9pm. It just depends how busy the studio is with other groups and classes. Lots of notice is always great, but we have been able to accomodate quite a few last minute requests also.

What else should I know?

All our creative classes are BYOB (bring your own wine, Prosecco), you can order in / bring food and most importantly, you have over 14 different creative classes to choose from!*
Painted ceramics, t-shirt & tote bag / sash design and lino printing are particular favourites.
Some classes are more suitable for groups of 12 or less e.g. lino printing.

How many guests can you host?

We can host up to 30 guests across both floors in our Central London, Borough studio (SE1). 20 in the main studio and 10 in the downstairs studio. If the studio is full or you have more, we could potentially host it off-site too.

How much does it cost?

Although it's hard to put a price on the 2nd best day of a bride's life (hehe), pricing is generally £35pp for a group of 8 or more guests and that includes:

  • Guidance
  • All equipment and materials
  • The studio for 2.5 - 3 hours
  • Glasses / fridge space for drinks, free tea/coffee, crockery and napkins - for drinks and nibbles
  • Background music / speakers - we have a killer playlist, but fine to play your own too
  • We can also put some decorations up for you, upon request, or you can bring your own

Why M.Y.O?

We do our best to make sure it’s a fun, relaxed and colourful occasion for the bride to be, so are always up for fun suggestions, like getting guests to hide in the studio as a surprise (I kid you not!), putting memorable photos up in the studio or having a slideshow on the studio laptop.

What’s the feedback been like?

Step this way, some recent reviews below

“.... I just wanted to send you a note to say how great our class was with Alex. We all really enjoyed it - she was a great teacher, and it was such a fun workshop. The perfect hen do experience!”
Sarah T, Handmade Pottery

“...A wonderful, creative and fun place with excellent and knowledgeable staff! Give it a go!”

Verity S, painted ceramics

“...Thank you for being so welcoming and helpful, not to mention patient with all my questions prior to the day! Our bride Amy had a very happy surprise! The calming arty oasis was such a great start to her Hen Day and it couldn't have gone any better, so thank you.
The girls were talking about the session later in the Airbnb, saying how much they enjoyed it and that they were going to tell their friends/work about the classes you guys offer :)”
