Meet Lisa from Miss Jones

Lisa Boissel from Miss Jones tells us all!

January 16, 2020

So, what is your story?

I am 30 from Dublin and moved to London 6 years ago.

What is Miss Jones PA and what is your role there?

Miss Jones is London's Leading Assistant & Event Planner networking club. Recognising the importance of the role of the PA / event booker in business today and keeping them in the know and introducing our members to the best venues and suppliers across the UK are Miss Jones's main objectives. I am the Managing Director here at Miss Jones.

We have to ask, what's your favourite creative thing to do?

I love adult colouring books or stitching - I find them very therapeutic and means I can't be on my phone!

What is your favourite colour? Why?

Baby Blue and has been since I was a child. I think it's a bright and positive colour but not too girly.

How did the Wellness Summit come about?

Wellness is such a huge industry now and more and more companies are implementing it in the workplace. Because our members are from so many different companies and industries, we were getting requests for Wellness suppliers. That made me think it would be a good idea to do a day out, where our members can come and have a relaxing and energising day out, while meeting suppliers who can implement their services in the workplace.

Who will be at the Summit and when / where is it on?

We have amazing brands involved such as M.Y.O, Barry's Bootcamp, Third Space, Another Space, Ten Fitness and Health, Lululemon, Sweat by BXR, Pilates PT and lots more. It's on the 29th of February in East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf.

Lisa has kindly offered a 15% discount for tickets over £35, just use the discount code NEWYEARNEWME at the link below and we can't wait to see you there.

How is the 3rd Wellness Summit different from the others?

We hosted two summits in Mortimer House which was amazing, but unfortunately they only had the capacity for around 120 and the demand has now grown, so we've had to find a bigger venue. We are aiming for 400-500 people for this event.

Why do you think it's important for companies to be more conscious of the wellbeing of their staff?

I think it's important as studies have shown that healthy, positive employees increases productivity. It's extremely important to invest in your employees mental health to ensure longevity of that employee within the company too.

Do you think some people are born creative or is it something everyone has, but many don't explore?

Yeah like myself I am not the most creative when it comes to arts and crafts but business wise I can be really creative and love trying new things. Stiching being one of them - I had never done it before and when I tried it I was quite good and found it really de-stressed me. That's why it's good to encourage employees to try new things that they might not have tried before.

If you could give advice to yourself growing up, with the benefit of hindsight, what would it be?

Stop worrying! You will be fine!

What makes you most happy?

Spending time with my friends or working on a big work project or event and seeing the end result- especially if it's a success. Then being able to review it, learn from mistakes and think of ways to improve it and make it better the next time

Aside from the Wellness Summit, is there anything else exciting coming up you'd like to share with us?

We host monthly professional/personal development nights where we bring in two speakers to speak to our members. It's a lovely evening as we have a food and drinks networking for an hour before the speakers and then our guests can sit down and enjoy. To find out more, go to MissJonesPA.com.

Thanks for taking the time to chat to use Lisa, see you on February 29th for all things company wellness and some creativity!
