Christmas is over and suddenly we are in January and the middle of winter. The bank account is unhappy, the bills feel like they are rocketing, the bathroom scales...lets not talk about the scales. And especially after the last year with the pandemic, and then a busy Christmas it can feel as though our moods have fallen off a cliff edge. Some people really struggle with this time of year and most of us need a pick-me-up.
We can start the new year with a list of resolutions but more often than not and particularly at the moment, especially with working from home due to the pandemic, we can need a little encouragement to get the wheels turning again but also, to take care of our wellbeing.

Brave the cold and head out for a walk, make your bed just the way you like it, danca dance dance, stay hydrated with lots of water or celebrate everything with a 'yay'.

Try something new, make a gratitude jar and fill it each day, put pen to paper and do some journalling or write to an old friend, plant something (even if you don't have a garden).

Send a letter to a relative, be creative with arts and crafts, love and be kind to yourself, read more books - start with a page a day and see how it goes.
